INTRODUCTION
Department of Health Organization and Management is a component of Health Management Training Institute (HMTI), Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH). Based on the mission and vision of HUPH, the strategic objective of the department is to build a contingent of high-quality staff contributing in quality improvement of health system and capacities enhancement of health staff by providing effective and excellence activities of training, research and consultancy in health management and other public health topics. We are working on close collaboration with many opportunities for our department in working and capacities development. These are our priories of collaboration:
1. Collaborate with other units in HUPH to promote teaching and scientific research.
2. Collaborate with domestic organizations such as the Ministry of Health, Institute of Health Strategy and Policy to update and link training and research activities of the department with practice.
3. Collaborate with CDC, Atlanta and other organizations in implementing management training programs in HIV/AIDS prevention in Vietnam.
4. Collaborate with domestic and foreign universities to develop training content as well as train staff for the subject, etc.
II. Tasks and responsibilities
1. Provide training and coordinating subjects related to health management (Health Management, Health Planning, Health System Organization, etc.) for various degrees of students including pre-service trainings (Bachelor of Public Health, Master of Public Health, Master of Hospital Management, Specialist I, Specialist II) and in-service/short-course trainings (for health personnel and other disciplines)
2. Conduct scientific research related to health system and other public health topics such as HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, adolescent health, etc.
3. Provide valuable consultancy for developing and implementing training curriculum and research on health management and other fields.
4. Provide scientific evidence, products, training materials and research findings for national and international individuals and organizations for application in training, research and intervention.
5. Collaborate with international partners for consolidating and improving training and research capacities and contribute in the development of HSPH and health sector.
